Middle/High School Spring Updates
We are working on a summer learning program to help students who may
need some extra support before starting the next school year. Middle school students who have been recommended by their teachers will be able to attend a 3 week “jump start” in August. Students will attend for 4 hours a day, Monday through Thursday. The academic focus will be English Language Arts and Math, but students will participate in some community based
activities as well.
Revised State Testing Dates
May 5 - WorkKeys (11th)
May 18 - SAT, PSAT, NMSQT, M-STEP (6th-11th)
May 19-20 - M-STEP (6th-8th, 11th)
Students that are working online may come into the school for testing on the days specified
above. If a student plans on attending a testing session, please call the office to reserve a spot.
Signs of Struggle/Help Available
This last year has been difficult for students. Even though things are starting to get back to
normal, students may still be struggling. If you notice that your child is struggling--emotional
outbursts, sleeping too much/too little, changes in physical appearance, social withdrawal, or
other changes in behavior--there is help available. Trudi Marsh, LSW, is available to meet with
students and parents. She can be reached by calling the school (736-8534) or by email
Seniors and parents/guardians of seniors, please read this letter with important information
and dates for the upcoming month.
