An Alcona Community Schools teacher has been selected as a 2024 Teacher of Promise by the Michigan Science Teachers Association.
Middle school teacher Elizabeth Thomson will receive her award during a special ceremony in March of next year.
Thomson was selected for the award for using and modeling best practices, inspiring her students, demonstrating innovative teaching strategies, being an excellent role model for students and other teachers, demonstrating leadership, and exhibiting a passion for science and teaching.
