Alcona Middle/High School Families,
I hope that everyone had a safe and happy holiday season! We are looking forward to a productive and healthy 2024! Here are some updates and important information:
End of Semester I: The last day of the first semester is January 19. Students will take exams on Wednesday, January 17 through Friday, January 19. January 19 will be a half day for students with a dismissal time of 12pm. Semester II begins on January 22.
Mi Smile Program: The Mi Smile Program will be visiting the middle/high school on February 15 and 16. The program provides dental services such as cleanings, x-rays, exams, and restorative care. Medicaid is covered 100% through this program. Other insurances are also accepted. Permission slips must be completed by January 15, 2024. Lost and Found: We have again collected a substantial number of student items in our lost and found. If your student is missing something, please take a look at the photos: Lost and Found 1-5-24. Any unclaimed items will be donated if not claimed by Jan 31.
Student Parking Passes: All students that will be parking at the school will need to obtain a parking pass. There is no cost for the passes. Students can pick up a Parking Pass Form from the main office.
Behavioral Health: Alcona MS/HS continues to offer counseling services to students during the school day. These services can help students struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, or other concerns. If you are interested in learning more or signing up for services, please complete the Behavioral Health Referral Form or call the office.
