The Varsity track team competed at the Standish Sterling Invitational today. After a brief weather delay, the girls walked away in third place and the boys took home second place. Many medals were won. Congratulations to all!
At practice tonight, I handed out the medals earned at The Fairview MS Track Invitational last night. The athletes were very excited when the realized that every single kid earned at least 1 medal in competition! Way to go Tigers!! Super proud of their growth and effort.
Seniors!! Remember that Friday May 24th (next Friday) is going to be a senior skills day. There will be a self defense class, lunch provided by the Air Force, and a short presentation by the Credit Union about services you can take advantage of whether you're staying in town or moving away for college. If you are NOT able to attend, drop Mrs. VK a note by May 12th so we can an accurate number count. Last year's seniors are invited to attend IF you let Mrs. VK know you're coming by Wed May 12th.

Alcona 6th-11th grade will be taking state tests the morning of Wednesday, May 5th. Please note that the date has changed due to a state change to the testing window. Online students are encouraged to come in on this day to test. Students in quarantine will be tested at a later date. Seniors will not be testing and will be having an asynchronous day to complete missing work. Seniors do not need to come into the building.
