Alcona Community Schools is excited to announce that we are participating in the Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan’s #GivingTuesday campaign! Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement that takes place annually after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Our Giving Tuesday project is the development of an outdoor classroom in our school forest and ensuring our nature trail system is accessible for all students and the local community. Middle/High School Students: Tutoring is available Monday-Thursday. All tutoring will take place in the high school lobby. Students must wear masks over their mouths and nose while in the school.

We have a free meal  “GRAB & GO” today, Monday, November 9  in the MS parking lot from 4pm-6pm. Meals are free and available for all children age 18 and younger. “Grab & Go’s” during the school year are designed for students working from home or out of school.

JV Girls Basketball practice is tomorrow 3:30 - 5:30 OG. Varsity is 3:45 - 5:15 NG and then set up for boys 7- 8th game.

Alcona's Business & Marketing department is seeking advice and assistance from key business and industry partners to keep our state-approved Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs relevant. We are looking for Advisory Committee Members who meet  a minimum of two times a year. The purpose of the advisory committee is to provide assistance and recommendations for the continuous improvement of our CTE program.
