Earlier this week VFW members Jim Burger, Dan Richardson, Roy Williams, and Jeff Somers presented the 2020 Voice of Democracy Essay Contest awards and recognized the 1st-4th place winners. Congratulations to all the students that competed and a special thank you to the VFW post for offering this opportunity for our students. This year’s essay question was “Is this the world our Founding Fathers Envisioned?” Congratulations, Hunter Winter-1st Place ($300 Award), Grace Atkinson-2nd Place ($150 Award), Samuel Prince-3rd Place ($50 Award), and Leah Brown-4th Place ($25 Award). #TBT

Friday is picture day for middle and high school. Face to face students and those in the auditorium will have their pictures taken between 9-11. Any online students that would like to stop in to get their pictures taken can do so between 11-1. Please come to the main high school office and ring the bell. The high school auditorium and special education rooms will be closed to high school students on Wednesday, October 28th due to the PSAT tests for 9th and 10th grade students. Only high school students who will be taking the tests or attending dual enrollment classes should come into school on that day. All middle school and elementary classes will run as normal. We have a free meal “GRAB & GO” today, Monday, October 26 in the MS parking lot from 4pm-6pm. Meals are free and available for all children age 18 and younger. “Grab & Go’s” during the school year are designed for students working from home or out of school

Reminder, boys 7th grade basketball practice starts tomorrow 3:45-5:45. Boys 8th grade practice is 2:45-4:45. Both teams will be practicing in the old gym. Athletes will need practice clothes, a reversible jersey if they have one, water bottle, and a face cover. Go Tigers!!

Varsity Cross Country competed in Indian River at Pre Regionals today. Everyone competed well and Carter Upper ran a new personal best of 19:44 qualifying him for Regionals on October 31st at East Jordan.
