For Winterfest Spirit Week student council hosted Macho Volleyball! Shout out to the seniors for winning the high school grade level competition. A special congratulations goes to the staff for defeating the seniors in a close match right until the end... Winterfest Information: On Friday, January 26th the Winterfest basketball games vs. Charlton Heston will kick-off at 4:30pm for Varsity Girls, 6:00pm for JV boys and 7:30pm for the Varsity Boys. The presentation of the Winterfest court and crowning of the King and Queen will take place during half-time of the Varsity Boys Basketball Game. The high school Winterfest Dance will begin immediately following the Boys Varsity Basketball Game and will end at 12am. Cost to attend the dance is $8 per person. Students must enter the dance through the main doors in the high school lobby. If students leave the dance early they will not be permitted to re-enter the school. #alconaschools #winterfest #spiritweek

English in the Real World students are preparing for the Mock Interview event at Alcona. 20+ local businesses and organizations have volunteered to help all 11th and 12th grade students prepare for their future. The Mock Interview event will be held on Thursday, February 1st from 8am to noon. If your business is interested in sending a representative to participate, please contact the school.
