Middle Schoolers are invited for an after school social on May 15th & 22nd with the Knowledge Bowl Team! Join us for games, fun, and more! This fundraiser is to help offset the KB Team's State Competition Expenses.

Our Board of Education meeting today was a special opportunity to connect our 1987 Knowledge Bowl Team with our present team. The 2023 team invited members and the coach from 1987 to present them with the WBKB traveling trophy, which is the same trophy their team held 36 years ago. The presentation was an opportunity for the 1987 team to re-connect and share stories about their time at Alcona, while honoring the current members. Congratulations to the 1987 and 2023 teams for the legacy you have set at Alcona Community Schools! L-R 1987 Team: Coach Roger Baumgardner, Myra Armstrong honoring her father James Armstrong, Russ Somers, Captain Jim Kelly, Captain Jason Oliver, 2023 Team: Captain Logan Bates, Captain Carter Upper, Jerzey Brown, Makayla Prince, Emma Schroeder, Isabella Laird, and Coach Helen-Ann Cordes. Thank you to everyone that joined us for this special occasion, including those that attended virtually. #TigerPride
