Our 3rd grade elementary engineers completed their erosion restoration project last week. Through this place based stewardship project students read informational text about soil types and structure, studied soil types, built dam wall models, measured area and developed a solution to the erosion that occurred to our holding pond and nature trail. They worked so hard to complete this project for their community! Thanks to MISTEM, Werner Sand and Gravel and the NEMIGLSI network for their project support.

6th-11th grade students participated in a spring fun day today where they rotated between 12 different stations. One of our stations challenged each grade level to paint the most school spirited snow plow. A special thank you to the Alcona County Road Commission for partnering with us for this activity!
