Join us for two evenings celebrating the amazing work and accomplishments of our students at Alcona Community Schools! Our K-12 Student Showcase will take place on Tuesday, May 12 from 5pm-7pm, featuring student artwork from kindergarten through 12th grade, woodworking projects, and more. All K-5 students will have a place-based science project to share. Exhibits will also be open again on Wednesday, May 13 from 6pm-7pm prior to Senior Awards Night at 7pm.
The Class of 2026 Senior Awards Night will take place in the auditorium and be an opportunity to recognize our students in the following categories: Early College Seniors and 5th Years, Latin Honors, Enlisted students in the United States Armed Forces, Good Citizen, Student of the Year, Athletes of the Year, and more. Senior Scholarships will also be presented through Alcona Community Schools and the Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan.

You're invited to follow the yellow brick road to an unforgettable night of music and magic as ACS Drama Club proudly presents The Wizard of Oz Musical! Performances will be held at 7pm tomorrow, Wednesday, May 6th, Thursday, May 7th, and Friday, May 8th. Come support our talented students as they bring this classic story to life! Today we celebrate National Teacher Appreciation Day by recognizing the incredible dedication, passion, and heart our teachers bring to our students each and every day. We also want to extend our gratitude to our amazing educational support team members, including paraprofessionals, office staff, custodians, food service workers, transportation staff, counselors, and every team member who helps create a positive learning environment for our students. The The Hammer and Nail welcomed the ACS Life Skills Afterschool Club to their restaurant this week for a hands-on field trip! Students had the opportunity to prepare their own breakfast by making eggs, pancakes, and sausage. They practiced food safety, learned how to check the temperature of sausage for proper cooking, washed their own dishes, and wiped down tables when they were finished. The students had a wonderful time building real-world life skills in a professional kitchen environment.
