This summer Close Up students will be taking a trip to Washington, D.C. for a hands-on learning experience to explore government by visiting monuments, museums, and Capitol Hill, taking part in discussions and debates, and more. To help fund their trip they are doing a can and bottle drive. Through Alcona Community Schools’ Early College Program, students can start their path toward becoming a preschool teacher, teaching assistant, social worker, daycare provider, or even a childcare center director, all while still in high school!
