April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time for communities across the country to come together to raise awareness and take action to prevent child abuse and neglect. At Alcona Schools, we recognize the importance of supporting families and ensuring the safety and well-being of every child. Earlier this month, Dr. Morris, Mr. Bouchard, and Mr. O'Connor participated in the Pinwheels for Prevention campaign—a national effort to promote child safety—by placing pinwheels as a symbol of the joy and innocence of childhood. These pinwheels serve as a reminder that every child deserves a safe, healthy, and happy upbringing. Join us for the 16th Annual Alcona FFA Chapter's Maple Syrup Celebration Day tomorrow, Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 9am-2pm! This fun-filled event will have breakfast, maple syrup sales, tours of the sugar shack, a small animal exhibit, and much more. It’s a great opportunity to celebrate the sweet side of spring, connect with friends and neighbors, and support our hardworking FFA students. We hope to see you there!
10th Graders: Reminder, Early College applications are due next Friday, April 11th by 3:10pm. Students can sign out of the program if their plans change, but they can not get into the program at a later date.
