ALL students, GSRP-5th, will come home with a new book to keep including online students. My fourth graders want to spread some cheer so they raised the money, surveyed class interests, went shopping and wrapped them all. From my class to you, we hope you have a Wonderful Break!

Today’s #ThrowbackThursday is a special shout out to 7th graders Emma Schroeder and Makayla Prince. Emma and Makayla have been working on a project to build an outdoor classroom at our school since they were in 5th grade. In October they applied for a CFNEM Youth Advisory Council Grant. Through their hard work and efforts they were awarded a $2,500 grant towards the development of an outdoor classroom at the Middle/High School! Check out their virtual grant presentation at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oj_eNqvX7A #TBT #TigerPride #GoTigers

Last month Mrs. Jirasek’s 1st grade and Ms. Wilkerson’s 3rd grade students learned about the important role mechanics play, career opportunities in the automotive mechanics field, and they helped the school’s mechanic, Mr. Smith, conduct a safety inspection on the school’s traverse. This project was part of our CTE career exploration program with our Career Navigator. Did you know Alcona High School students can take CTE Automotive Mechanics classes through Alpena High School?
