5th year Early College students: Connect with Mrs. VK to set up your weekly check-in. Mrs. VK will be meeting with you during Mrs. Cordes' maternity leave. These weekly check-ins will most likely be virtual until her return.
Students taking a college class (except for the tech series) who did not pick up books at open house last night should plan to pick up books Thursday or Friday this week. The remaining books will be in Mrs. VK's office on Monday morning. Students who are unsure of their college schedule should check their WebAdvisor accounts through ACC or the class statement mailed to you last spring/summer. If you don't know your WebAdvisor login, call ACC's tech help line for assistance.
It was so nice to see all of the smiling faces at the Elementary Open House tonight. We can't wait for school to start. With only a few days left, what was your favorite part of your summer reading? Mine was definitely learning about Mercy's road trip.
Welcome Back! During the Open House (Wednesday August 25th 6pm-7pm at the Middle/High School)- please stop in to Mrs. Marsh's new location by the Main Office in the High School. She is located in the old Tiger Clinic Office. If you are interested in continuing your Support Services, or would like to enroll in new services, please stop in. Mrs. Marsh will assist you in establishing these services for the 2021-2022 School Year . In addition to Mrs. Marsh, we have added a second Behavioral Health Therapist from Alcona Health Center, Katherine Erwin- Please stop in and Welcome her to Alcona Schools. We are so excited to see all of you in just a few short days!!!

There will be a parent informational meeting for ms girls basketball at 5:30 pm in the cafeteria tomorrow. No practice tomorrow, just this meeting. Please plan to attend and then go to ms/hs open house from 6-7 pm. Practice will resume Thur 4:30-6:30.

High School Summer School students: All summer school classes end this week. Please be aware that your class will closing on or before Aug 30. There are no extensions after this day. Great job on all your hard work this summer. I am so proud of you!
MS/HS Open House Information: The MS/HS Open House will be held on Wednesday, August 24th from 6-7. Staff will also be available from 4-6 in the high school lobby to help with paperwork and collect technology fees ($20/student). In an effort to spread people out, we are asking that 6-8th grade students will enter through the middle school doors. 9-12th grade students should enter through the high school doors. Community organizations with information and school supplies will be set up outside each entryway. See you soon!
Tomorrow is the kickoff to junior high football!! Practice will be from 4pm - 6pm. You must have your physical and insurance prior to practice!! Still plan on being in attendance even if your physical is incomplete.
JV and Varsity football will practice from 4pm - 7pm this week!!!
Alcona High School and Middle School families, we will be conducting an open house on August 25th from 6-7pm. In addition to this time, beginning at 4pm staff will be available at the high school entrance to fill out necessary forms for the beginning of the year.
