Congratulations Class of 2024 and 2036! Our Decision Day event was a great success! Decision Day is when seniors share their future plans and kindergarten students share what they want to be when they grow up. Thank you to AAACU for helping sponsor our senior breakfast and to Dollar Dog for having a special summer gift for all our kindergarten students. #alconaschools #decisionday #classof2024 #classof2036

I know I sound like a broken record, but Alcona Track broke another record tonight at the NSL Big Dipper Championship. The 4x200 M Relay team of Sawyer Seminoff, Evan Woods, Karsen Gonyea, and Garrett Somers ran a time of 1:33.02. This record was a time of 1:33.11 held by Gavin Walker, Chris Barnes, Nick Rasmussen, and Jacob Sytek set in 2021. Way to go, boys!!

The Big Dipper Northstar League Championship was held at Alcona tonight. All teams did a great job on a beautiful night. The Alcona Boys Team came out with their 4th Conference Championship in a row! Way to go, Tigers!! The girl's team did very well also, but came up just a few points short of Rogers City.

Students went back to the Harrisville Harbor one last time for the school year to do some garden maintenance, native plant ID and tagging, ensured the stormwater drainage worked as intended, and got to pilot water quality testing as well. Next year's aquatic science class will inherit the garden and continue water quality monitoring efforts.
These kids did so well, and the sunshine was an added bonus.

What a great day for Alcona Track. The Men and Women competed in the regional meet at Pellston, and boy did they showout!! Twelve athletes qualified for the state meet, the women finished tied for 4th, broke two school records, and the men brought home the first regional championship since 1972!! GREAT DAY TO BE A TIGER!!

CONGRATULATIONS NEMYAC on a very successful first-ever YAC Day!
