Last month we hosted the ribbon cutting for the Alcona C.L.A.W. Academy! C.L.A.W. is an alternative high school pathway that offers unique learning opportunities in a more individualized environment. C.L.A.W. stands for: C-come prepared, L-listen and engage, A-act respectfully, and W-work hard. Thank you to everyone that made this possible! Marketing C.T.E. students Alera Buehl and Lillian Pappas designed the logo for the program. #AlconaSchools #TigerPride

Alcona County's Conservation Officer, Jesse Grzechowski, was at Alcona High School today and taught basic wilderness survival skills to Mrs. Hechlik's English in the Real World and English I classes. Additionally, English I students are focusing on the guiding question: What does it take to survive? All students learned about a "survival mindset", the "C"s of Survival Gear, and effective campsite considerations.
