Welcome Back! During the Open House (Wednesday August 25th 6pm-7pm at the Middle/High School)- please stop in to Mrs. Marsh's new location by the Main Office in the High School. She is located in the old Tiger Clinic Office. If you are interested in continuing your Support Services, or would like to enroll in new services, please stop in. Mrs. Marsh will assist you in establishing these services for the 2021-2022 School Year . In addition to Mrs. Marsh, we have added a second Behavioral Health Therapist from Alcona Health Center, Katherine Erwin- Please stop in and Welcome her to Alcona Schools. There will be a parent informational meeting for ms girls basketball at 5:30 pm in the cafeteria tomorrow. No practice tomorrow, just this meeting. Please plan to attend and then go to ms/hs open house from 6-7 pm. Practice will resume Thur 4:30-6:30.

MS/HS Open House Information: The MS/HS Open House will be held on Wednesday, August 24th from 6-7. Staff will also be available from 4-6 in the high school lobby to help with paperwork and collect technology fees ($20/student). In an effort to spread people out, we are asking that 6-8th grade students will enter through the middle school doors. 9-12th grade students should enter through the high school doors. Community organizations with information and school supplies will be set up outside each entryway. See you soon!
High School Summer School students: All summer school classes end this week. Please be aware that your class will closing on or before Aug 30. There are no extensions after this day. Great job on all your hard work this summer. I am so proud of you!
Tomorrow is the kickoff to junior high football!! Practice will be from 4pm - 6pm. You must have your physical and insurance prior to practice!! Still plan on being in attendance even if your physical is incomplete.
JV and Varsity football will practice from 4pm - 7pm this week!!!
Alcona High School and Middle School families, we will be conducting an open house on August 25th from 6-7pm. In addition to this time, beginning at 4pm staff will be available at the high school entrance to fill out necessary forms for the beginning of the year.

Hi Parents,
If your student is in 6th-12th grade, we will be assessing a $20.00 insurance fee for their Chromebooks. This will cover the first damage of the year as outlined in the Student Device Handbook. If payments are not made by 8am on September 13th, your student will have opted out of the insurance policy. If any damage is done to their device, they will be responsible for the entire cost of the repair. Payments can be made at the Open House on August 25th from 6-7pm. There will also be someone available to take payment before the Open House from 4-6pm. Payments can also be made at lunch during the first week of school. We will also have an option to pay through our online payment system; please see the link below.
