Students in KG-8th grade are invited to participate in another FREE Summer Adventure Program where they will Learn, Travel, and Explore local treasures! Students will learn about a local “treasure” in class and then travel to explore it the next day! Local treasure field trips include: The Besser Museum, Lumberman’s Monument, Au Gres Splash Pad, Harrisville Harbor, Sturgeon Point Lighthouse, Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary, and more. The district will host a public feedback meeting on mental health and school safety funding on 7/26 at 6:30 pm in the middle school lobby. We welcome parent and public attendance to help guide how the district will spend the new funding for 23/24.
The first annual Esports: Get In The Know Conference will be held on August 8th, 2023, from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM at Kirtland Community College.
The event will feature sessions and activities for BOTH STUDENTS & EDUCATORS/ADULTS.
The purpose of Esports: Get in the Know is to:
Help districts, administrators, and coaches understand how to implement and maintain a high school Esports program
Allow students to learn more about the world of scholastic competitive esports, explore devices, meet college-level esports coaches and athletes, and compete in an individual Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament (with trophies!).
