Congratulations again to the senior class of 2023 and kindergarten class of 2035! On graduation day we hosted our annual school wide Decision Day. Decision Day is a time to recognize the accomplishments of our kindergarten students, early college students, and graduating seniors. At Decision Day seniors shared their plans after graduation, such as going to college/university/trade school, completing the Early College Program, enlisting in the military, traveling, taking a gap year, or entering the workforce. Kindergartners shared what they want their future career to be when they grow up. Some of the future careers for the class of 2035 are: teacher, police officer, ballerina, bus driver, farmer, construction worker, lineman, mechanic, paleontologist, cowgirl, and everyone’s favorite, a Burger King worker! Congratulations class of 2023 and 2035! We can’t wait to see where your path leads! The Alcona Track State Qualifiers competed today in Hudsonville for the chance to be a D4 All State Athlete. Addison Beatty ran two PR's in the 100M and 200M prelims. Cole Upper ran a PR in the 110M Hurdles. Logan Zuchowski competed in discus. Jeremiah Bullis ran well in both the 100M and 200M prelims. The 4x200 team of Sawyer Seminoff, William Liebler, Cole Upper, and Jeremiah Bullis had a disappointing race but will hopefully let it full them for next year! We are very proud of all the Tigers representing Alcona today!

Congratulations to Kelsey Hansen for earning All State Honors in Shot Put and Discus today at the D4 MHSAA State Finals. She finished 4th in shot and 2nd in discus with a new PR of 126ft3in. A great end to a very impressive Alcona Track Career.
