Youth basketball is canceled for today, February 25th, due to poor road conditions.

The boys basketball game against Fairview for tomorrow night (2/24) is cancelled, but the Winterfest Dance is still on! The dance will be from 8-11 in the cafeteria. The king and queen will be crowned at 9pm. Family of court members may attend the crowning.

The Pre-Festival Concert for the Alcona Bands and Choir is tomorrow night at 6pm! Free and open to the public.
Alcona is hosting the MSBOA District 9 Band Festival on March 7th/8th. The High School Band and 7th/8th Band will perform for ratings.

On Wednesday, February 22 the Winterfest assembly will begin at approximately 12:30pm in the auditorium. The Winterfest basketball games vs. Fairview are Friday, February 24th and kick-off at 6:00pm for JV Boys and approximately 7:15pm for the Varsity Boys. The presentation of the Winterfest court and crowning of the King and Queen will take place during half-time of the Varsity Boys Basketball Game. The high school Snowball Dance will begin immediately following the Boys Varsity Basketball Game and will end at 12am. Cost to attend the dance is $8 per person. Students must enter the dance through the main doors in the high school lobby. 2023 Winterfest Court: Freshman-Cole Upper & Makalya Prince; Sophomore-Kelvin Travis & Piper Whitefield; Junior-Jacob Renchenski & Liberty Kimball; Senior-DJ Howe & Emily Lobaugh, Ashton Rigby & Savannah Wright, Owen Borsvold & Emalee Dorr, Logan Patterson & Kaitlin Nardi, and Jack Goldstrom & Blaire Dellar.
