Up North Prevention is offering LifeSkills Parent Training virtually. The program lessons cover family communication, parental monitoring, being a good role model, discipline, warning signs of substance use, and more. 🎓ACS Early College Campaign: Today’s spotlight for our Early College campaign is all about the trades! One of the common misconceptions students have about continuing education is that trade school and college are different. This is not true! Alpena Community College has many trade related certificates and associate's degree programs available to students; including: Welding, Utility Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Concrete Technology, Automotive Service & Repair, and more! Every year 9th graders tour ACC’s programs to get a better understanding of the options available to them right here in northeast Michigan! Yesterday Alcona's 7th, 8th, and 9th ROV teams earned awards for their hard work. The 8th-grade team won the dragster race competition. The 7th-grade team won the SquareOne award for a well-rounded team, ROV performance, and innovation.

The Alcona FFA's 14th Annual Maple Syrup Celebration Day is this Saturday, March 18th from 9am-2pm behind the Alcona Elementary. Please join us for a delicious free pancake breakfast, syrup sales, tours of our operation and a small animals exhibit. We hope to see you there!
