Alcona 2nd grader students are studying bird habitats and adaptations. As part of the project they built and hung bird houses in our school forest. Thank you to our partners, MISTEM and NEMIGLSI, for helping students gain real world experiences in science. We cant wait to see who moves in this spring!

ALL students, GSRP-5th, will come home with a new book to keep including online students. My fourth graders want to spread some cheer so they raised the money, surveyed class interests, went shopping and wrapped them all. From my class to you, we hope you have a Wonderful Break!

Today’s #ThrowbackThursday is a special shout out to 7th graders Emma Schroeder and Makayla Prince. Emma and Makayla have been working on a project to build an outdoor classroom at our school since they were in 5th grade. In October they applied for a CFNEM Youth Advisory Council Grant. Through their hard work and efforts they were awarded a $2,500 grant towards the development of an outdoor classroom at the Middle/High School! Check out their virtual grant presentation at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oj_eNqvX7A #TBT #TigerPride #GoTigers
